My wife, Dorry, and I had been married for 70 years and it had come to the spot where we needed help. It was getting hard for me to keep up the yard and doing the housework was more of a chore than we wanted in our golden years. Our family contacted Evergreen Estates and the first thing we knew, we moved into a very nice two-bedroom apartment along with other seniors who are in the same situation as we are.
One of the first things we noticed was how friendly everyone was. It is quite a treat to not to have any chores other than what we want to do. This COVD-19 thing was not what we had planned on, but Evergreen staff figured out ways to live with it and we are doing fine.
Dorry passed away in November of this past year, so now I am on my own. The staff does a fine job of taking care of my needs. I am well taken care of in the food department; I look forward to my meals and the comradery of the dining room.
They have many activities going on each day. I don’t partake in all of them, but they are there when I feel the need.We are close to Tri-State Memorial and they furnish us with transportation when we have doctors’ appointments.
It is a well-run and maintained facility; they are doing an excellent job.
I highly recommend Evergreen Estates to people who have reached their golden years.
