I acknowledge that I have read and understand the contents of the Employee Handbook and that it was reviewed with me by the administrative staff. I acknowledge and agree that the Employee Handbook does not constitute an express or implied contract of employment or a guarantee of employment for any particular length of time. I understand that my employment is and will continue to be “at will,” and that either Evergreen Estates or I may terminate the employment relationship at any time, for any or no reason, with or without cause, and with or without notice.

I understand that it is my responsibility to review this handbook periodically to ensure that I comply with the policies within it. I understand that this Employee Handbook contains general guidelines, is not exhaustive, and may be changed, modified, added to, substituted, or eliminated as business needs require and as permitted by applicable law. I also understand that Evergreen Estates may depart from any policy or practice described in this Employee Handbook at its discretion, as business needs require, and as permitted by applicable law. I also understand that this Employee Handbook supersedes all prior editions that have been issued.

The policies in this handbook are not intended to preclude or dissuade employees from engaging in legally protected activities/activities protected by law, including the National Labor Relations Act, such as discussing wages, benefits or other terms and conditions of employment, forming, joining or supporting labor unions, bargaining collectively through representatives of their fellow employees’ mutual aid or protection or other legally protected activities.
